Netanyahu Still Apprehensive Of Framework Of Iran-US Nuclear Deal

Netanyahu resents being ignored by the US when he voiced his controversial opinion on the Iran-US nuclear deal set out in the form of a framework agreement in Loisanne, Switzerland. Israel has been an ally of the US for a long time. Alignment of the US and Iran in terms of a nuclear deal is going to be a serious threat to the very existence of Israel, as per Netanyahu. He was clear in his opinions on the deal when he was speaking to the US Congress in March.

Netanyahu finds himself at the receiving end of a deluge once the framework of the deal has been finalized. But this is only the tip of the iceberg waiting to hit Netanyahu. He has been under attack for his electoral remarks about Israeli-Arabs being driven to vote against him. Moreover, the backtracking he has made from his earlier commitment to the formation of an independent Palestinian nation has only added up the grime against him.

The deal is still in its nascent stages. It is in the form of a framework agreement that is to be signed into an agreement in June. If situations remain the same, if the framework is signed without any changes made to it, it is going to mean disaster for Israel.

There is to be a repeated opposition to the deal in the form it is currently in. on its part, the US administration has assured Netanyahu that the if the framework agreement were to work out into a deal, it is going to benefit everyone, including the US and its allies. It is not going to help Iran sponsor terrorism.
